"Say it from my device"

When a company asks for your customer number, PIN or IBAN, your own device reads it into the call. The number never passes through our servers.

Companies always want a number: your customer number, a PIN, your date of birth, your IBAN. Those live in your vault, on your device, where we can't read them. So Aydria can't say them for you. Your device can.

What happens on the call

When the person asks for a secret, Aydria says "One moment, Sanne will provide that from her device." You get a request straight away: a notification on your computer, a sheet in the app, and a WhatsApp message if you allowed that. You get three choices.

1. Read it out from this device

  1. Tap it.
  2. Confirm with Touch ID, Windows Hello or your passkey.
  3. Your device unlocks the secret and speaks it into the call with its own built-in voice.

The number never touches our servers. Aydria stops transcribing while your device speaks, and the transcript only says something like "[secret provided by user: customer number]".

2. I'll say it myself

Aydria adds you to the call for a moment. It stops listening to your line until you tap Done, then carries on.

3. Don't share

Aydria politely declines and asks the company for another way to check who you are.

PINs on the keypad

Some phone menus want a PIN typed in. That works the same way: your device sends the key tones over its own line.

Good to know

  • It works in the desktop app and in your browser.
  • Every use is logged: which secret, which case, when, which device. Never the value.
  • Secrets never go over WhatsApp. On WhatsApp, Aydria asks you to open the app.
