Download the desktop app

Aydria runs on Mac, Windows and Linux. The desktop app adds notifications that actually arrive, Touch ID or Windows Hello for your vault, and a shortcut that works from anywhere.

The web app at app.aydria.com does everything. The desktop app does a few things a browser can't.

What it adds

  • Notifications with buttons. Answer "Accept or hold out?" without opening anything.
  • A menu bar or tray icon showing what needs you and the live call ("On hold 14:22").
  • Your vault in the system keychain, unlocked with Touch ID or Windows Hello.
  • Your own microphone for joining calls and for Say it from my device.
  • A global shortcut. Press ⌥⇧A on a Mac or Alt+Shift+A on Windows and Linux to open a small Say it window from anywhere. You can change it in Settings.
  • Drag and drop. Drop a PDF on the Dock or taskbar icon to start a case.

Install it

  1. Go to Download. It picks your system for you.
  2. Mac: open the .dmg and drag Aydria to Applications. It needs macOS 12 Monterey or later.
  3. Windows: run the .exe. It installs just for you, so no admin rights are needed. IT departments can use the .msi. It needs Windows 10 (1809 or later) or Windows 11.
  4. Linux: follow Install on Linux.
  5. Sign in with the same account. Your cases are already there.

The beta builds aren't signed yet

During the beta, the desktop apps aren't signed or notarized. So the first time you open Aydria, your computer warns you. That's expected.

  • Mac: open Aydria once and close the warning. Then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
  • Windows: when you see "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.

Want to be sure the file is ours? Compare its SHA-256 checksum with the one on the download page.

Updates

Aydria checks for updates when it starts and every six hours. It downloads them in the background and tells you "Update ready — restart". It never restarts during a live call.

Starting Aydria when you log in is off until you switch it on in Settings.
